Mineral Resource and Mines Administration Division

Objectives
(a) To study, research, and explore mines and minerals.
(b) To regulate, administration, and mines promotion.
(c) To formulate policies and laws related to mines and minerals.

Activities
(a) To carry out exploration and research related to mines and minerals.
(b) To conduct detailed studies, exploration and development activities to promote mines and mineral resources.
(c) To update the mineral inventory map and catalog and disseminate information.
(d) To administer the Mines and Minerals Act, 2042 (1985) and the Mines and Minerals Regulations, 2056 (1999) (including amendments).

• Geophysical and Geochemical Division
• Mine Monitoring Division
